Newsfeed on the online seminar series on radicalisation prevention and democracy promotion to coaches in youth football as part of the project „Safe Zone“ April 2021.
With organisational support of the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association (SHFV) the online seminar series for coaches of football teams was advertised on the homepage of the association. Additionally, there was communicative support from the organisation’s consultant Andy Watzlawczyk (Social Affairs) and Paul Musiol (Qualification) to the interested coaches. The announcement text for the homepage (www.shfv.de) was published as follows:
“Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear sports friends, football is an important area of socialization and education for many young people and plays a significant role in their development. Unfortunately, sports clubs and their environments can also be a platform and stage for radicalization processes among young people. Coaches and volunteers in sports can therefore play a key role in prevention: They are the ones who have a relevant pedagogical role and accompany the young members in their development. However, radicalization processes are often difficult to detect and/or there is a lack of suitable means to counter them. To raise awareness of the issue, the SHFV, in cooperation with the CJD (www.cjd-nord.de), offers four online seminars, each with a repeat date, on radicalization prevention and democracy promotion in youth football. The project team at the CJD – Gloria Glogau and Eckart Müller-Bachmann – provides information relevant to the topic, outlines measures for preventing radicalization processes among young people in sports clubs, points out recommendations for action, provides learning materials, and answers questions in casual interaction with the participants. The online seminars are conducted via the BlueJeans Video Conferencing System. (…)”
The number of participants was ten for each of the above-mentioned dates, including youth football coaches and DFB base coaches as well as external speakers from other football associations. Given the limited time available (105 minutes per seminar), the seminars were largely designed as lectures, but nevertheless included interactive elements in which the coaches were able to briefly discuss aspects of the outline or describe their experiences with the issues addressed from their own training and match operations. The participants were positively impressed by the theoretical content of the seminars and asked in individual contributions for an additional focus on the applicability of theoretical content in practice. The mentioned proportionality of theory and practice ultimately also reflects the greatest difficulty of the respective seminar concepts; on the one hand, the project team was not sure to what extent the conceived contents were too theory-laden, and on the other hand, they were also unsure how to ensure the practical applicability of individual topics in the online format of the seminars due to the pandemic.
Ultimately, the project team felt that the time for the planned transfer of knowledge was quite limited, but that this was only possible to a limited extent given the voluntary work of the trainers and their correspondingly small-time budgets. A final evaluation by the participants may generate further insights.
Newsfeed zur Online-Seminarreihe zur Radikalisierungsprävention und Demokratieförderung für Trainer*innen im Jugendfußball im Rahmen des Projektes „Safe Zone“ April 2021
Mit organisatorischer Unterstützung des Schleswig-Holsteinischen Fußballverbandes (SHFV) wurde für Trainer*innen von Jugendfußballmannschaften die online-Seminarreihe auf der Homepage des Verbandes und durch unterstützende Kommunikation von Seiten der Verbandsreferenten Herrn Andy Watzlawczyk (Soziales) und Herrn Paul Musiol (Qualifizierung) zu den interessierten Trainer*innen beworben. Der Ankündigungstext zur Seminarreihe wurde auf der Homepage (www.shfv.de) folgendermaßen veröffentlicht:
„Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Sportfreunde, der Fußball ist für viele Jugendliche ein wichtiger Bereich der Sozialisation und Erziehung und spielt eine bedeutende Rolle in deren Entwicklung. Sportvereine und ihre Umgebungen können leider auch Plattform und Bühne für Radikalisierungsprozesse von jungen Menschen sein. Den Trainer*innen und Betreuer*innen kann deshalb eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Prävention zukommen: Sie sind diejenigen, die eine relevante pädagogische Rolle innehaben und die jungen Mitglieder in ihrer Entwicklung begleiten. Allerdings sind Radikalisierungsprozesse oftmals schwer auszumachen und/oder es fehlt an geeigneten Mitteln, diesen begegnen können. Zur Sensibilisierung für das Thema bietet der SHFV in Kooperation mit dem CJD (www.cjd-nord.de) vier Online-Seminare mit jeweils einem Wiederholungstermin zur Radikalisierungsprävention und Demokratieförderung im Jugendfußball an. Das Projektteam beim CJD – Gloria Glogau und Eckart Müller-Bachmann – vermittelt themenrelevante Informationen, skizziert Maßnahmen zur Prävention von Radikalisierungsprozessen Jugendlicher in Sportvereinen, zeigt Handlungsempfehlungen auf, stellt Lernmaterialien zur Verfügung und beantwortet Fragen in lockerer Interaktion mit den Teilnehmenden. Die Online-Seminare werden über das Videokonferenz-System BlueJeans durchgeführt. (…)“
An vier Terminen wurden die Seminare unter folgenden Titeln abgehalten: Einführung und Kurzvorstellung der Themen “Sensibilisierung”, “Prävention” und “Alternativen” am 05.03, anschließend am 17.03. unter der Bezeichnung „Schwerpunkt Sensibilisierung: Was bedeutet „radikal“?“, darauf folgend am 20.04. unter dem Titel „Schwerpunkt Prävention: Welche Rolle spielen Trainer*innen?“ und abschließend am 26.04. „Schwerpunkt Alternativen: Gegenreden zu extremistischen/radikalen Erzählungen“.
Die Anzahl der Teilnehmer*innen lag zu jedem der o.g. Termine bei zehn Teilnehmenden, unter anderen waren Jugendfußballtrainer*innen und DFB-Stützpunkttrainer*innen und externe Referenten anderer Fußballverbände zu gegen. Die Seminare waren angesichts der knapp bemessenen Zeit (105 Minuten je Seminar) größtenteils im Vorlesungscharakter konzipiert, beinhalteten dennoch interaktive Elemente, in denen die Trainer*innen kurz über Aspekte des Skizzierten sprechen konnten bzw. ihre Erfahrungen mit angesprochenen Sachverhalten aus dem eigenen Trainings- und Spielbetrieb schildern konnten. Die Teilnehmenden waren von den theoretischen Inhalten der durchgeführten Seminare positiv angetan und baten in einzelnen Beiträgen um eine zusätzliche Fokussierung auf die Anwendbarkeit theoretischer Inhalte in die Praxis. Die angesprochene Verhältnismäßigkeit spiegelt letztlich auch die größte Schwierigkeit der jeweiligen Seminarkonzeptionen; das Projektteam war sich einerseits nicht sicher, inwiefern die konzipierten Inhalte zu Theorie lastig seien und andererseits auch unsicher, wie sie die praktische Anwendbarkeit einzelner Sachverhalte in dem der Pandemie geschuldeten Onlineformat der Seminare vermitteln sollten. Letztlich lässt sich aus Sicht des Projektteams reflektieren, dass die vorgesehene Zeit für die geplante Wissensvermittlung recht knapp bemessen war, diese Bemessung aber wiederum vor dem Hintergrund der ehrenamtlichen Tätigkeit der Trainer*innen und deren
entsprechend geringem Zeitbudget nur begrenzt geschehen konnte. Eine abschließende Evaluation durch die Teilnehmenden generiert eventuell weitere Kritik und zusätzliches Lob.
News feed sul ciclo di seminari online sulla prevenzione della radicalizzazione e la promozione della democrazia per gli allenatori del calcio giovanile nell’ambito del progetto “Safe Zone” – aprile 2021.
Con il supporto organizzativo dell’Associazione calcistica dello Schleswig-Holstein (SHFV), il ciclo di seminari online per allenatori di squadre di calcio è stato pubblicizzato sulla homepage dell’associazione. Inoltre, c’è stato il supporto comunicativo del consulente dell’organizzazione Andy Watzlawczyk (Affari sociali) e Paul Musiol (Qualificazione) agli allenatori interessati. Il testo dell’annuncio per la homepage (www.shfv.de) è stato pubblicato come segue:
“Gentili signore e signori, cari amici sportivi, il calcio è un importante ambito di socializzazione ed educazione per molti giovani e gioca un ruolo significativo nel loro sviluppo. Purtroppo, anche i club sportivi e il loro ambiente possono essere una piattaforma e un palco per i processi di radicalizzazione tra i giovani. Quindi gli allenatori e i volontari nello sport possono svolgere un ruolo chiave nella prevenzione: sono coloro che hanno un ruolo pedagogico rilevante e accompagnano i giovani nel loro sviluppo. Tuttavia, i processi di radicalizzazione sono spesso difficili da individuare e/o mancano mezzi adeguati per contrastarli. Per sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica, la SHFV, in collaborazione con CJD (www.cjd-nord.de), offre quattro seminari online, ciascuno con una data di ripetizione, sulla prevenzione della radicalizzazione e la promozione della democrazia nel calcio giovanile. Il team di progetto di CJD – Gloria Glogau e Eckart Müller-Bachmann – fornisce informazioni rilevanti per la tematica, delinea misure per prevenire i processi di radicalizzazione tra i giovani nelle società sportive, fornisce consigli, materiale didattico e risponde alle domande in un’interazione casuale con i partecipanti. I seminari online sono condotti tramite il sistema di videoconferenza BlueJeans. (…)”
Il numero di partecipanti è stato di dieci per ciascuna delle date sopra menzionate, compresi gli allenatori di calcio giovanile, gli allenatori di base della DFB e i relatori esterni di altre associazioni calcistiche. Dato il tempo limitato a disposizione (105 minuti per seminario), i seminari sono stati in gran parte concepiti come lezioni, ma hanno comunque incluso elementi interattivi in cui gli allenatori sono stati in grado di discutere brevemente gli aspetti dello schema o descrivere le loro esperienze con le questioni affrontate negli allenamenti e nelle partite. I partecipanti sono stati positivamente impressionati dal contenuto teorico dei seminari e hanno chiesto nei contributi individuali un’ulteriore attenzione sull’applicabilità del contenuto teorico nella pratica. La menzionata proporzionalità tra teoria e pratica riflette in ultima analisi anche la maggiore difficoltà dei rispettivi concetti dei seminari; da un lato, il team del progetto non era sicuro fino a che punto i contenuti concepiti fossero troppo carichi di teoria, e dall’altro, erano anche incerti su come garantire/assicurare l’applicabilità pratica dei singoli argomenti nel formato online dei seminari a causa della pandemia.
Alla fine il team del progetto ha ritenuto che il tempo previsto per il trasferimento delle conoscenze fosse piuttosto limitato, ma che ciò fosse possibile solo in misura limitata, considerato il lavoro volontario dei formatori e il corrispondente poco tempo a loro disposizione. Una valutazione finale da parte dei partecipanti può generare ulteriori approfondimenti.
